An Experience of God

At a recent parish Mass I felt the presence of Jesus in a special way.

A large congregation including a bereaved mother and daughter, parents of a newborn baby awaiting baptism and a family gathering for a weekend reunion.

A group of 14 children processing to the altar after children's liturgy eager to share their thoughts on the gospel of the day.

The great participation by the people in singing the hymns...the words were especially

meaningful on this day.

And after Mass the people gathering to share conversations over morning tea.

I was reminded of a hymn used with children preparing for the Eucharist... How is Jesus Present?

He's present in the priest, in the people and in the breaking of bread.

I felt Jesus truly present in our parish that morning.
