These words are an expression I first heard several decades ago. It was probably something I tried to do and failed, tried again and this continued until relatively recently when I came upon "The Surrender Prayer”.

In recent times our family has experienced the serious illness of a loved one, a particularly traumatic time for all, going from a terminal diagnosis to a treatable one but nonetheless a very difficult journey. Later still we had to face up to the process of downsizing, shifting and all the associated stresses that accompany this. It was a God given gift I believe that I discovered the Surrender Prayer (a novena by Fr Dolindo Ruotolo) and there is no doubt in my mind that my increased belief of Gods amazing love and the peace I experienced throughout these trying times came as a result.

So, at last I know what it means “To Let Go and Let God” and trust I always will.
